Another Year Over... And A New One Just Begun

It's the last day of 2012! Like many other bloggers have said, this year has been one filled
with great memories and the everso famous perfect and not so perfect moments.

I am honestly so grateful for the life that I have, the opportunities that I have encountered,
and the people that have been part of it all.

Peach Gingham was started less than a year ago while on summer vacation at my family's
beach house.  It has been quite a learning experience and has challenged me in
more ways than I can express. Actually doing an outfit post was a HUGE step for me!
I can be quite critical of photos of myself. Honestly, many photo shoots never made
it to the blog because of the scrutiny each one experienced. :) Slowly, I am
learning it's not about me, but more so about the creativity of putting a few pieces
of clothing together. My love for blogs started when I saw how each one
sparked new ideas for me, personally.

Thanks for making Peach Gingham part of your daily routine and for
encouraging me to pursue a hidden passion.

Here's to 2013- the experiences that will mold us, opportunities that will challenge us,
and a renewed outlook for another great year!

Relaxing

While many are enjoying fluffy, white snow on this day after Christmas, I am sitting
inside staying cozy listening to the monsoon outside of my window. I'm avoiding the task of
getting dressed to drive through the rain to the gym and then back home to get ready
to run a few errands with my mom. More company arrives at the end of this week to
celebrate the New Year, so we have to get ready!

Gold dots {I have TONS of thank yous to write} // JCrew Button Up // Bow Ring //

While the whole idea of a New Year can be quite silly
{I'm a firm believer that you can start fresh on any day you choose},
there's something exciting about that date changing and new
things to come. Only 5 more days left in 2012!

Handbag Feature

A few days ago, Twitter notified me that I was mentioned in a tweet.
Surprisingly, I found that a new-to-me website named Handbag Heaven had featured
Peach Gingham, as well as a few other well known bloggers, on their handbag blog.
I wasn't familiar with the site, but was honored to have one of my outfit posts
featured on their blog.
After reading the post on each blogger, I shopped around the site. All handbags
start at $10 and stay below $85. Honestly, it's perfect when you are
looking for that fun clutch for a specific event, but don't want to spend tons.
Handbag Heaven found a cute quilted alternative to the crossbody I'm wearing.
Check out the featured blog post here
There's an added bonus:
HH showcases Penny Pincher Fashion and her perfect evergreen clutch!
I've been eyeing PPF's style long before I started a blog of my own.

Enjoy! Happy Thursday!

After Work :: Outfit Planning

New Years doesn't have to be the only time you pull out the sequins.
Getting dressed to celebrate the end of a work week can be just as fun.

I may be planning an outfit with the most perfect booties and a glitzy skirt,
but today I'll actually be spending my time in these cozy polka dot pajamas
with my 1st graders. It's the last day of school before winter break, so we're
hanging in our comfy PJs watching the Polar Express and determining if
we've been naughty or nice.

Sometimes my job helps me to feel like I never have to grow up.

Weekend Fun

This weekend is being welcomed with open arms.
I'll be spending my days off shopping... but this time for my classroom friends.
Next week is a three day work week filled with holiday celebrations and crafts.
There's a lot of prep work to do for the upcoming week in first grade!

Happy Weekend!
Two more Saturdays until Christmas!

Cruella :: Outfit

I can't seem to get enough of the faux fur lately.
You see it everywhere now- coats, vests, scarves, ponchos..

My most favorite part about it is that it can make the most simple
outfit pop so much more~ this was just a polka dot top and black pants before!

 Faux Fur Poncho:  Stein Mart {yep, I've scored 3 from SM} // Top:  Zara {summer}  //
Pants: JCrew // Flats:  Old Navy // Glasses: Ray-Ban // Gloves:  Stein Mart
Watch: Michael Kors // Bracelets:  Stella&Dot Renegade in Gold and Silver, JCrew Pave Link //
Lipstick: MAC Ladybug

Faux Fur & Stripes :: Outfit

Top:  JCrew // Pants:  JCrew Ponte Pant // Vest:  Stein Mart {old} // Flats: Sole Society
Glasses:  Ray-Ban // Bracelets:  Tory Burch Wrap, Stella&Dot Renegade in Silver and Gold //
Watch: Michael Kors // Necklaces:  Stella&Dot Rebal Pendant, Max&Chloe // Earrings: C. Wonder

I've been a little under the weather this weekend and have gotten at least 34594 hours of sleep to
make it all better. It's been nice to just lay around watching Guilana & Bill,
and a few holiday movies between the long snoozes.

These new J.Crew pants arrived this week in both navy and black.
They are by far the best pants I've ever owned.
I promise you won't regret it if you snag a pair.
I'll probably be living in mine from here on out!

Cheers to Monday and it being my last FULL week of work before Christmas!

Stella & Dot Gift Idea

This holiday season, Stella & Dot is offering an awesome incentive to gift-giving.
For every $50 you spend, you'll receive $25 Dot Dollars to spend on yourself
once the holiday lull sets in come January.

Instagram always gives me great ideas on how to create a look with pieces that I already own.
With Stella & Dot's promotion, I plan to score a few gifts while gaining Dot Dollars for myself
to complete a few of these looks:
So many great pieces on Stella & Dot's site right now that would be perfect
wrapped up with a bow.

Check them out here
Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite piece.
