Latest 'Deets

It's been a week since I last post. That was definitely not planned. I've been trying to soak up every last bit of this freedom I have as a teacher. I honestly thought I'd have all of this time to blog this summer and really think of some creative things, but let's face it... I thrive on making and checking off to-do lists. By the time I run 3847923 errands, make 234 phone calls about wedding plans, and check off 43 things on the 'ol list, I'm pooped.

So, let's get right to it... these are the latest 'deets on what I've been up to.
I'll make this a little mid-week round up. After all, it's already hump day!
Last week was my final week at the beach with my parents for the summer. Since I am a teacher, my pup, my car FULL of clothes, and I head down to the beach for one whole month. I come back to Atlanta for a day or so visit for an event or to keep the fiancĂ© happy, but generally I live in Florida every June. It's the best. All of my friends are working and life gets pretty lonely sticking around Atlanta during the summer, so I pack it up and head to the land of palm trees. I spent my last few beach days finalizing wedding details, getting things together to send to my soon-to-be wedding party, and trying to soak up the sun. I'm usually ready to get back to my own digs, but I always have a pit in my stomach when I leave. I think it's because the reality of going back to work, setting up a classroom, early bedtimes and early wake-ups is beginning to set in.
So here I am, back in Atlanta. I've been back 3 days and I haven't stopped moving.
I've moved into my new classroom, updated the hair-do, prepped a few things for the arrival of my best friend's babe, and cleaned out/organized my closet. Outfit posts are on the to-do list, but have unfortunately taken the back burner. I'll gladly post a few of my "moving and cleaning outfits" for ya, but I can't promise it will give you any inspiration to run into your closet and pick out something to wear to work tomorrow. {blegh!} And while we're being honest, when I could be blogging- I am either watching the Live Feeds of Big Brother 15 {Can they just send Aaryn home already?!?} or arriving late to the "New Girl" party. How did I miss out on this show when it came out? Thanks to a few blogs I follow, I decided to see what all the talk was about. The show is quite corny, but it's so light hearted and refreshing that I'm hooked! It's my escape from all of the latest news and reality negativity. I prop my laptop on the bathroom counter, click into Netflix, and literally laugh out loud at Jess while I'm blowdrying my hair for the day. I find myself having an inner debate about clicking to watch the next episode because I don't want it to end. The lull of waiting on a new season stinks! I did this with "Friday Night Lights"... which, by the way, was a HUGE mistake to take off the air. There has to be someone out there who agrees with me. {Oh, Tim Riggins!}

Now that it's Wednesday,  I'm starting to get back into the routine of being home. Hopefully you'll see that reflected on the blog. I'll pop in and out when I'm not knee deep in boxes in my classroom these next few days. I'm trying to tackle the beast before back to school crunch time begins.

Hope you are having a spleeeendid week!
