life lately

Outfit pictures were supposed to be taken this weekend, but I opted to forego the 'ol to-do list and go over to a friend's house for a Sunday grill-out. While I hate to lack content for the blog, it was the best decision I've made in a while. Sometimes you have to pull your nose out of the computer and live a little. It was great to let loose and catch up with old friends.
Labor Day weekend was spent with a large group of friends at the beach in South Carolina // I haven't shopped a ton of the new fall trends because I've been immersed in all things school lately. {I guess that can be a good thing after all! Anyone else recognize a spike in their "want" list since Instagram came along?!} // I am slowly switching from sandals to ballet flats permanently. The pumpkin scented candles have found their spot in my loft, the ballet flats are out, and my bright colored pieces are being put away... come on cooler weather! Wanna bet it goes from HOT to freezing cold over night!?!
That's how it usually goes here in Georgia.

While you are making your rounds catching up on new posts from your favorite blogs, be sure to check out Groopdealz on the web and on Instagram. They are celebrating their 3rd birthday (this Friday) with extra-discounted items and a special giveaway!
I snagged a new camera strap for my Nikon last night and have been eyeing this crystal necklace, which will be the perfect statement with a simple sweater this fall.

Be sure to check back often this week because the crew over at Groopdealz is offering quite a few "birthday deals" you won't want to miss. Leave a comment and let me know what you found!

I just might have to grab a few of these printed pillows to add a pop of color to my neutral couch.
At $8 a piece, you could afford to switch them out pretty often without feeling like you made a huge investment.
Happy week.... and Happy Birthday Groopdealz!
I'll be back later this week with a few more posts.
We're headed to see Mumford & Sons tomorrow night... eek!
